Been mulling it over for a while now but I'm definitely changing my major from Fine Arts to Film Production with a minor in Art. I've always been interested in the field but I wasn't going to major in it mainly because I was planning on going to a school that didn't offer it. Although I decided I would much rather stay in town and go to school for an extra year for a degree that I love and could actually use. Plus, Florida State has one of the best programs in the country.

My family has been constantly asking me if I've found a major since I started college two years ago, and now I actually have one that's probable. Is it weird that I don't really feel like telling anyone?

My cousin is actually going through the same exact thing and she's also 20. I don't think it's weird. Then again, I don't tell my family much to begin with.

It's not that my family hasn't been supportive this whole time or won't continue to be so, I'm just accounting for the off-chance this lead doesn't pan out. I'm not sure I could handle telling my grandma that I'm gonna be in school for another four years.

nope, I took one Java class in high school but that's it. it starts out very basic, you take Fundamentals of Computer Science 1 and they teach you everything you need to know to start. I imagine that's how most college programs are, the freshman level classes are very basic. all that is needed is an interest in computers and problem solving.
