lolwut. The vast majority of Canadian (post-)hardcore bands I've been coming across are a damned joke. Please point me in the direction of some good Canuckistani musics.
I created an account just to respond to this lol. Best post-hardcore band (actually probably the best band period) in Canada right now is Metz. I live in Toronto, where they are from, and they destroy live every single time. If you like Drive Like Jehu, Metz is right up your alley.
Another band worth checking out is North of America from Halifax. They've broken up I'm pretty sure but put out a number of good records.
Only other good Canadian post-hardcore band I can think of off of the top of my head is a band called the WPP from Vancouver, who I'm pretty sure broke up years ago. Worth checking out the full-length they recorded though.
I'll give a shout out to Kittens and Shallow North Dakota too, but they are more "noise-rock"...not really post-hardcore. Still, worth listening to.
