Well we know he can shred...but can he shred while he is singing?

He has that solo project Fox Run. He can sing, it'll be interesting to see where they go with their next album. Also, the Lights Go Down stuff has been good so far.

I might actually start paying attention to this band again. Not only can he sing better, but lyrically he's much more mature than the previous singer.

I'm really hopeful for the future of Hawk Nelson. Their last cd was kinda disappointing, but I think they have the potential to put out another great one. What is Steingard's voice like?

He's just the guitarist and back up vocalist already. No line up change he's just taking over lead vocals

Was this the guy that had the side-project/solo stuff that was actually pretty good?

Look up the band "fox run" or "Jonathan steingard"

That's his solo stuff....which I think he is much better with than playing songs that someone else writes for hawk.

The kid is a beast on guitar...seems like they make him tone it down in the band.

I agree that he's a great guitar player, all I'm wondering is how he is at singing and if he'll keep playing guitar like normal.

His voice seems to fit.

hmmm. I feel that he's amazing also...But...It's just like the newsboys....
The whole entire sound of that band will change.
I hope Jon takes it back to the way their old stuff was, though. I liked it a TON better!
