Stoked, hopefully the new album sounds more like the Good Love EP.. Loved each of there albums for different reasons, but Good Love had the catchiness of Can't Stop, Won't Stop; the maturity of Pioneer. I just really like the vibe from it.. really took me by surprise, wasn't expecting it to be that good.
I like the fact they matured but Pioneer was just a completely different direction that i wasn't into, its almost like the maine started out like one of those pop bands that were based off of their looks and now theyre trying to grow out of it, but whats done is done. Their like a totally different band now and dont even play any of the older jams.
I am glad they stopped being a generic pop band and actually have started working on songwriting. The Maine now blow the maine of the past out of the water. Its not as energetic but it is just flat out better music. If people wanna hear the old maine they can listen to their old albums or every single new pop band that recommends you their new album while waiting in line for warped tour. The Maine now seem like they want to set themselves apart and as good as pioneer was I know it is just a start. They can take it so much further.
