Damn....hard choice. Wen't with Pavement but both NMH and The D Plan are awesome bands. I hear great things about the Pixies though too.

i think if you like the more spastic D Plan songs (Is Terrified and a good portion of Emergency & I), and general Pavement, i'd imagine you'd like Pixies. check out Doolittle and Surfer Rosa.

i'd go the Dismemberment Plan, as one of my favorite bands ever. NMH and Pixies would be second or third, depending on my mood, and Pavement is awesome.
