it's a jersey hipster thing. jersey hipster bands don't wants to be associated with any "mainstream" genre, so they just put "post" in the front of it and then hipsters will think they're obscure.

this one isn't very post punk at all, seems more like indie punk actually. I listened to their previous catalouge and none of it is post pop punk at all, just pop punk or indie punk.

about post pop punk...it reminds me of the post punk revival in sorts (inflenced by post punk of previous decades but also sounds very much indie/pop rock).
