Wasn't really blown away by their album this year, but might have to give a try again. Also, why do the British get awesome bands to play for New Year's and US gets Taylor Swift? Would love it if MTV acted more like MTVU and did an indie rock New Year's countdown or something.

This was during the afternoon of New Year's Eve and is a TV show that no longer runs anymore, it started in the 1960s and ran until about 5 years ago, it just comes back once a year for a special.

However, we do have an awesome annual New Year's Eve show called Jools Holland's Hootenanny which this year had the likes of The Hives, The Dubliners, Lianne La Havas etc. It's pre-recorded, but genuinely great nevertheless.
