I logged in this morning and can't really understand what to do... and I don't think I have any friends, unless Justin and Beyonce are my friends...

I honestly don't see myspace taking off. Looks nice, but i can see it becoming outdated in a year. Functionality sucks too

Mixed emotions for me. I'll join to see what's up.

It works the same way as Twitter. Instead of friend request you kinda just follow the people.

Anyway, I actually like this a lot.

i loved the myspace music aspect as well, i just wish that they geared this big launch around the music section. the streaming market is still there, spotify + rdio is picking up, and I can totally see myspace music as a good contender. but trying to expand as a social network they were once were, is pretty hard to get that kind of buzz back.

I didn't even know Myspace ever officially went away? I thought people just all moved onto Facebook. What's the purpose of this new Myspace?

There's a spot that says "sign in with classic myspace" which I think means your original info

pros:
pretty
easy to connect with people
probably great on a tablet
music streaming is a huge improvement, you can make playlists and listen without refreshing the player when you move to a different part of the site

cons:
hard to find content
hard to read articles in horizontal scrolling
scrolling is awkward
not much customization in profiles, which is what i liked about myspace originally
it feels EMPTY, but it's early so I don't blame them

plus the purpose of the new myspace isn't really clear, it seems like they wanna touch on everything.
