I don't know if a second guitar/guitarist is necessary for properly playing most of the Straylight material, but you gotta believe he'll have one of those giant keyboards at every date. His solo material (SR too but not as much) is gonna rely a lot on some sampling and if this tour is anything like most Straylight Run tours were, he won't have any problem singing over a LOT of pre-recorded samples. So that bodes well for people who are going to be looking forward to those signature Straylight Run ballads.

Back in like 06/07 he did a similar tour & came to Miami. He played a tiny venue where locals usually play. They don't even serve alcohol. I couldn't go because it sold out. I hope so bad he comes back this way.

Also, he mentioned that it's an East coast tour & I tweeted him asking when the dates get announced & he said Thursday. So we'll see.

Really can't wait. Said its east coast and will be announced Thursday.

Seen him play Existentialism at Warped with just a guitar and it was beautiful.

He played Tampa too and it was absolutely surreal. Similar venue to what you're describing, but only about 20 people showed up. O'Brother played too.

March 13th at Maxwell's in Hoboken. So excited.

i was so excited! maxwells tweeted about new shows and when i saw them mention john nolan's twitter, i thought i was seeing things haha. already got my tickets - can't miss john nolan playing literally down the street from me, haha.

I did too. He was in a tent surrounded by a hundred fans sweating bricks. Felt like a cheap guitar mic'd to a cheap 15watt amp. I would prefer a way better setup, like doing mtv unplugged where the room is just right for acoustic shows.
