I've never thought that Henry was integral to Black Flag. Black Flag was ALWAYS Greg Ginn and Rollins contributions only increased steadily until the band's demise.

That said, I'm always weary whenever 50+ year old dudes start playing rock music again. I'm not really looking forward to this. It doesn't even sound appealing on paper.

Truth.

It's not a bad lineup. Chavo's cool. The only things I'm concerned about is if Dale Nixon is Greg Ginn recording basslines again, and if Greg Ginn is gonna make this suck like almost all of his projects since Black Flag.

You can definitely have Black Flag without Henry.

Black flag is Greg ginn. The other version is a couple dudes who have been in flag, can play flag songs and are doing it for fun (and will probably be superior to Greg's version live) With that said, Greg really has never given a fuck about what anyone thinks and I wouldn't be surprised if he went out and only played new material. I'm stoked to see what happens.

Maybe it's better that Henry isn't in this. We might not end up with macho noise metal (although I suspect that was Ginn more than Henry). But hey, Off! turned out alright, and Keith's old.
