Pete Wentz was interviewed by The Chicago Tribune last night at Angels & Kings' two year anniversary, where he spoke up about the rumors of Fall Out Boy reuniting. Pete stated "I'd say … don't hold your breath that it's happening," despite the rumblings over the past two weeks. With that being said, it's worth noting that the whole band has been seen in Chicago.
"People came out of the woodwork for a little bit," Wentz said of the reaction of his friends and family to the reunion rumor. "But I feel like I'm so far removed. I'm no help. People asked 'Is this happening?' 'I'm not the person that can help you out. All I know is it's not.'"
"The rumors are still untrue, unreal & totally outta this world!" tweeted Trohman. "… Seriously, it's not going down." is what they put. The wink wink, nudge nuge part about the Skate & Surf Festival or whatever was left out.
Why is everyone trying to get the 'scoop' on this one? Why not just let the band just announce as they intended? As a fan (albeit a long time ago) that would have been much more fun than all this. But hey, just my opinion.
If it were really not happening, he would say, "It's not happening, Property of Zack was wrong." Of course he denied it, what's he gonna say, "Welllllll, I don't knowwwwwww, you're gonna have to seeeeeeeee!"
