I think he was running a risk if LOG were touring over there. They do a large amount of European touring, so, he could have been detained eventually I think.

He could've but there are BIG bucks to make overseas. If they were a small band, then that would be smart. If you think LoG is famous in the US, they're more gigantic in Europe. They play all those big festivals and are usually on the main stage. Another thing is he might be considered to be a prison escapee. He'd have to stay in the US for the rest of his life which sucks for the band. If he chose that route, then I think LoG would break up in 3 years.
