Can anyone explain the presence of the big black security guards at every show? Is this something they've always had or is it Pete's bodyguard or something? I just think it's pretty lame seeing a big dude just standing there throughout their set.

It's pretty common for bands to have security on stage with them. Especially when the stage is close enough to crowd surf to. Doesn't look like this venue had a barricade either, which is surprising for a band as popular as FOB.
Interesting. I'm used to seeing security that the venue provides but not that the band provides. I can see it being necessary at shows with no barricades though.
