USC home game against Oregon this year, turns out USC were using slightly deflated balls, so to get a better grip. So bizarre. I think they fired their equipment manager, but there was speculation as to how far up the staff knew about it.
Yeah this was reported on the week after the game, they weren't really that far below regulation. Neither the refs, Barkley, or Heidari (half of the deflated balls were kicking balls) even noticed it. They were removed at half time and the rest of the game was played with fully inflated ones, note how most of our scoring happened in the second half so it didn't really help much.
Barkley isn't throwing because his shoulder still isn't 100% and at this point he'd be doing himself more harm then good to go out their if he can't be at his best. Scouts are already down on him right now, they'd over analyze ever bad pass he threw no matter what so he's better off waiting until he's fully healed up and doing private workouts instead.
