So....let's try this again!

Rules and Settings:
Advancements - Each team will be able to play one week's worth of games in each advancement. Each advance period will be 72 hours. If all games are in before the 72 hour period, the league will move on early. It is your responsibility to schedule times with the other user teams in order to set up games. The league will not wait for unschedule games if all other users are ready for advancement. If you contact a user and do not here back within 24 hours, you will be allowed to play their cpu.

Gameplay - Each period will be 6 minutes long with adjusted penalty time scaling. Regular season tie-breakers are 5 minutes of 4-on-4 hockey until someone scores. Continuous OT. AI skill level will be set on "All-Star". Offsides will be delayed, icing is normal, penalties are normal, and fighting is on. Post-whistle rules are "Anything Goes".

Playoffs - Playoff eligibility will be exactly the same as in real life (16 teams, 8 from each conference). OT will consist of continuous periods on 4-on-4 hockey. Each series will be best-of-seven. Advancement rules for the playoffs will be determined when we reach that part of the season.

Salary Cap and Trades - Normal salary cap rules apply. All trades must be discussed in the thread. There will not be a voting system for trades but commish can veto. Trade at your own risk.

Exploits - No manually controlling the goalie and coming out of the net to hit the first forechecker on a dump and chase.

The exploit list will grow as we come across scummy moves. Hopefully we don't have any of that in league.

Since this is a new league and a hockey league has never been done successfully, I will be taking suggestions for rule changes. If you are interested in joining, just PM me for the league name and I'll add you to the list below. Once we have a solid number of teams filled, we will begin games.

Teams will be filled at a first come, first serve basis.
