there's no way they have a worse record than the Cubs, Astros or Marlins
That's why it's a bold prediction. The Mets also have zero pitching with Santana most likely out for the season.

lol i was about to say... thats not going to happen... realistically neither of them will get it.
How do you assume that Trout will not get it? He nearly got it last year.

I don't know why people are doubting Harper's prospective MVP candidacy? He's already got narrative behind him, he's on a projected playoff team, he'll get counting stats and probably play solid defense in LF...

Their #1 and 2 starters are legit pitchers, and I agree the rest of the staff and the bullpen are highly questionable...plus the outfield is a joke

But ill defend the fact that the team on paper is much better than the teams I mentioned

Love all the Oscar Taveras mentions, but Holliday, Jay, or Beltran is going to have to get injured for a length of time for that to happen. If you want to pick a Cardinal, Shelby Miller is probably a better bet this year.

Hate to say it.. but with Beltran's history, Taveras could play a lot this year. But, yeah, he probably doesn't play much this year unless that happens. I change my pick to Miller.

Bold prediction: The Yankees will finish at the bottom of the AL East.
That really isn't that bold. I, along with probably a lot of baseball fans, am expecting it. It's gonna be a crazy season for the AL East.

AL East: New York Yankees
This, on the other side of the spectrum, is actually a pretty bold prediction. How do you figure that the Yankees will win the AL East? This is coming from someone who was a Yankees fan up until I stopped watching baseball a couple of years ago, but now I'm getting back into it.

Late to the party, but I thought I'd contribute.

AL East: Orioles
AL Central: Tigers
AL West: Angels
AL WC1: White Sox
AL WC2: Yankees

NL East: Nationals
NL Central: Reds
NL West: Giants
NL WC1: Braves
NL WC2: Dodgers

ALCS Winner: Tigers (yes, again) after defeating the Orioles in 6.
NLCS Winner: Giants (hmm...am I thinking with my heart or my brain?) after defeating the Nationals in 7.
WS: Winner: Giants (deja vu) in 7.

AL MVP: Miguel Cabrera
NL MVP: Matt Kemp

AL CY: Jered Weaver
NL CY: Matt Cain

Lolololol Cespedes is not getting traded

Hence, "bold" prediction. :)

But for anyone who wants to take me up on a friendly internet bet, I say both Cespedes and Reddick are gone at the trade deadline.

Both have high value right now, Beane has been known to do this, the A's have big outfield prospects that they'll want to call up, and the Yanks have wanted Cespedes since before he signed with Oakland.
