The Hush Sound/Hockey/River City Extension Tour

Posted by: Christian Wagner (04/17/13)
The Hush Sound, Hockey, and River City Extension are going on tour. Dates are in the replies. River City Extension is finishing up a music video for "If You Need Me Back in Brooklyn," to be released in the coming weeks. In the meantime, they have posted a sound collage put together from their rehearsals that show a glimpse of new material. You can listen to that in the replies.

Wouldn't go to a show unless RCE was headlining it, with that short of a set it'd probably be nothing but Don't Let The Sun Go Down material :/

Given that it's only 3 bands, they could play for a solid 45 minutes...still stoked.

Maybe if I'd been as into The Hush Sound as my friends were back in high school. I loved The Unmistakable Man so much, it's one of my most spun albums period, but I wasn't enchanted with a single song off the second record anywhere near what I was with the first, so I can't really justify driving to D.C. just for that when I'm already cashing out for seven different shows in June.

I saw River City Extension open for Max Bemis a few years ago and they were absolutely fantastic. Their electric instruments weren't working so they played acoustic in the middle of the crowd. So much fun. I might go to this for them.

I know there is at least one more opener, Lucas Carpenter, who isn't listed here. I think I saw someone else listed as well at least for the Pontiac/Detroit date.

So many shows in the DC area that weekend of Skate and Surf. Wish I didn't get tickets...line up is highly disappointing.

Lets not forget the main reason I'm going:
Genevieve from Company of Thieves is playing.

Their second release Running From A Gable was a perfect album and it upsets me how little attention they get.

I agree. The Unmistakable Man is so damn good. One of my favorite records. DLTSGDOYA didn't strike a chord with me, sadly. But I'm such a sucker for "Ballad of Oregon" and "Welcome to Pittsburgh."
