"We haven't played a show here in a long time, and when I saw all the important issues facing the South Bay at the moment, I knew we had to put together a benefit show to help Surfrider protect our ocean and beaches," Pennywise frontman Jim Lindberg said in an exclusive IROCKE interview. Lindberg is on the Board of Directors at Surfrider and a longtime supporter of ocean-related causes. "We're going to be playing a bunch of old unreleased songs that no one except some of the locals have ever heard before so it'll definitely be a unique webcast." "Even better is the fact that we are able to hold the show in the band's hometown of Hermosa Beach, and when Saint Rocke said they would host the concert and IROCKE signed on to broadcast it live, we had "the perfect storm." This is an incredible opportunity to deliver some great music for Pennywise fans worldwide all while benefitting Surfrider's efforts."
