the official policy is: Once you have been a member for 365 days and have reached 10,000 posts or you have been a member for 730 days and reached 1,000 posts - you are granted "prestigious" status. This means your username will become bold, you will be allowed to upload a larger avatar, and you will be granted access to the member's only forum. Being a prestigious member does not mean you're immune from moderation or our policies.

so is this to be understood as you must meet one of these two goals or never be allowed into member only forums?

is there no way longtime members, if slower posters, can ever get in? i ask because i've been reading here for five years, posting for three, but only posting pretty often for six months or so. do i need to start over and post up a shit-storm, or what? i don't see myself restarting, so i want to know if there's another way... i admit i was not as hooked on this site a year ago as i am today.

i know, but i don't know how to get into member forums. i don't have any password to use to get in. i can't tell if i'm being a dumbass and am missing something obvious, or if this information is simply eluding me. ah well... i'll go hang out in some fun thread now.
