Rock & Roll, pt. 1 and Mick Jagger are da bidness.
I prefer their "1 guitar w/ a drummer"- centric sound.

Which makes songs with other prominent instruments like "Try to Understand," harder to get into for me.

Even Greg loves this album, if that isn't enough for people to check this out, I don't know what will.

Their first album had other instruments as well.

I think I'm going to wait for my preorder to arrive until I listen to this. I'm sure it's excellent, and JEW and Sufjan will keep me busy in the meantime.

This album is great. I'm still trying to decide if it's better than Ghosts.

There was obviously a bass player on the majority of their songs, and various instruments on others.
You quoted me before I edited it.

But they always took a backseat to the guitar riffs and distorted drums.

havn't listened to this yet...but my band opened for them the other night and they played a lot of the newer songs. they sound amazing; they had a third guy with them playing keys, and like bass on the keys, it was sweet and he sang harmonies...he added so much, it was awesome. preorder this record asap
