Hahaha it is kind of sick how badly i want to play this game. And you can trade as soon as you get the pokedex! I have to think of a team. I might have to go Scyther. I think i am going to go with Meganium as my starter.

Totodile's the one for me. I've always been a huge fan of Feraligatr.

I never was until Gen IV, when he got some sweet perks with moves switching between physical and special. I've always been a big Grass fan, even though it's one of the worse types.

Yeah, weak to:
Poison
Bug
Flying
Fire

Repels:
Water
Electric
Rock?

Yeah, weak to:
Poison
Bug
Flying
Fire
Ice

Repels:
Water
Electric
Grass
Ground

Not to mention what types resist it:
Steel
Fire
Electric
Flying
Bug
Poison

edit: Definitely one of the best types when dealing with Ground pokemon though, unless they're backing an Ice move. Although most Grasses sport Sleep Powder and Leech Seed, which make them cool players. And Grass is a good type for mixing since it's one of two types that are super effective against Water.

FACT: only grass types learn Spore. As for the Ground types with Ice moves, what ground Pokes can learn Ice Moves?

Fact... except Smeargle haha.

Well Mammoswine who's part Ice comes to mind. I know that Gliscor has Ice Fang, Donphan gets Ice Shard... It's mainly Ice Shard to worry about, since it's priority.

Yeah, I think the one Grass-type I'll always have a problem with is Breloom. Too fast, and Spore kills me. Latias Psychic is my only chance.

Probably because Tyranitar is just a beast.

Indeed.

OH man that is so awful. I mean T-wave and Wrap was the combination i used when i wanted to piss someone off.

hahaha, it's so funny against the game since they don't switch. same with Cloyster with Clamp. Although Clamp is a pretty good move anyway.

Or just ever. Stone Edge is just going to do too much damage.

I've been using Rock Slide for the accuracy. I figure too many Pokes using Stone Edge on the same team is a bad omen, haha. It's still STAB and you can flinch every once in a while.

I Shoddy'd like a bunch over the last two days, and i'm in a bad streak. My team is needing a Fighting or Rock move, but i don't know where to put it.

Oh man, you do need at least one of both of those moves. Fighting moves aren't AS necessary if you have other counters for fighting weak Pokes like T-Tar and Blissey, but Rock is one of the best offensive types there is atm. I wouldn't put it on Gliscor because of his meh attack stat and lack of STAB, not sure who else you have. What are your other Physical guys again?

I need to rethink my strategy to taken down BP teams. Gliscor opening with Taunt is helping shut down every Ninjask Lead i've run into, since they're all the same.

There you go, Taunt is win.

May have been a Critical Hit, i don't remember that.

Oh, NOW the truth starts to come out xD

Ah gotcha. Are you going to use this out of game too?

Who knows, anything that is IV bred and EV trained is a candidate for battle I suppose.

I don't think it gets Flamethrower, so I'd say Surf is the best bet. Maybe Ice Beam?

Yeah, I did the calculation, and a max SpA Timid Latias Surf is a 3HKO on 248 HP / 0 SpD Scizor. So if they switch in a resisted attack like Ice Beam or Dragon Pulse, Scizor will eat Latias easily.

Well we have Shoddy, which at least three of us have, and we were suppose to make teams at L50, but we've been changing our teams around alot haha.

By the way, I've been meaning to tell you, the L50 part doesn't matter since we can L100 battle on Wi-Fi. I didn't realize that at the time, but if you do L100 singles, it's not a problem. Just like doing an IV battle, except actually battling. So, you can use anything you have EV trained and what not, regardless of the level.

My team is 'done', except I need to breed another Tyranitar. So technically I could do some test battles now, it just isn't 100% as good as it will be when I get a 31 HP / 31 SpD T-Tar that is Careful instead of Sassy. I finally was able to get ahold of another DS to tutor my Pokes.

That does sound pretty awesome. I'm not sure you need Flash Cannon since Aura Sphere covers everything it does except it gets Normal and Steel types. I might be missing something though.

You're correct, outside of Hidden Power, the last move is just filler. Dragon Pulse doesn't add coverage when you already have Aura Sphere / Shadow Ball, Water Pulse has too low of BP to really matter. Flash Cannon is probably the best filler b/c of STAB. What you really want in that spot is HP Rock or HP Ice. I am fortunate enough to have that broken Lucario with HP Rock, haha.

Hahaha it is kind of sick how badly i want to play this game. And you can trade as soon as you get the pokedex! I have to think of a team. I might have to go Scyther. I think i am going to go with Meganium as my starter.

Quit stealing my team :3

I think I might not use Meganium, since I have other Pokes that are defensive, and Meganium doesn't have that much utility in game. I think maybe I'll do DD/SD Feraligatr, but I have to work it out. Noctowl / Quagsire / Arcanine / Scyther / Feraligatr / ? is what I'm workin with now I believe. The '?' will be a special attacker with good coverage and appropriate typing. Just gotta figure out who that is xD

Edit: Just thought of Mismagius being a good possibility. I don't have those types of moves covered, he is fast, and has good immunities. I don't have a Dark resist, but I could replace Scyther with Heracross perhaps. Trying to keep this UU though.

Edit2: Still could be missing some move types, may have to rework this after I decide on sets. Some of the HG/SS Egg moves are crazy. Feraligatr gets Aqua Jet, and Mismagius gets Nasty Plot :o

Yeah, Ursaring really does cover it. Oh well, Ursaring is such a baller anyway.

I called myself that yesterday and my mom freaked out. But that does not diminish the awesomeness of the bear.

Sub/Seed/Sunny Day/Solarbeam or Sub/Seed/HP/Energy Ball or Sleep Powder/Sunny Day/Solarbeam/Toxic i mean you really have endless options in game.
Or this crazy moveset with Seed/Toxic/Sub/Protect hahaha. Sub, set up, and Protect and laugh as they suffer! wah ha ha ha.

That sounds so mean. I might do that out of game. Sunny beamer for ingame though.

Articuno might actually fill the gaps i need.

Sounds good. It's my second favorite bird, even though the other two kill it in actual battle.

How do you get pokemon for it?

That is true, although 100% accuracy Dynamic Punch is just way too nice.

Favorite move ever.

Yeah i remember Clamp not sucking. Too bad no one ever uses it anymore. It's a Gen I move like Hyper Beam haha. I remember when Hyper Beam was all the rage.

Well That's probably not too bad of a move. You lose 25 Base Power though, right? But gain that awesome accuracy. I think it's probably worth it, since Tyrantiar can dish out the damamge anyway. And yeah, that flinch gets a second free hit. I approve haha.

It really is killing me, i'm actually starting to get surprised i made it this far without one. I agree, Gliscor probably shouldn't get it. My other two Physical Attackers are Snorlax and Metagross. Man maybe i rely too much on Zapdos and Starmie. I think the answer might be getting a new lead with Taunt to be honest. One faster than Mismagus since Sub/Calm Mind has been hurting my team a lot lately. So the same lead with Crunch/Rock Slide or Stone Edge would be really handy.

Quote:
There you go, Taunt is win.
Taunt owns with i predict right. Sending Gliscor in isn't fun though.

Quote:
Oh, NOW the truth starts to come out xD
OKay it had to have been a CH since i tried the same thing again and it was a 2HKO the next time around haha.

True dat!

Oh really? Well that's excellent news! My original first UU team has a few pokes done, so i can finish that up perhaps? Although i'm really busy lately packing up and preparing to leave.

It doesn't add coverage but Dragon Pulse can hit Dragons. I don't know how much harder, but he resists them with Steel typing, just gotta watch for those Fire Blasts.

But when will you have access to Mismagius? Depends on when you get the National Dex and all, doesn't it?

Missy with Nasty Plot?!? now that is so crazy. And Feraligatr with a priority move just is mean haha.

I called myself that yesterday and my mom freaked out. But that does not diminish the awesomeness of the bear.
Agreed. Why would she freak out?

Quote:

Pokemon who just do status and annoying stuff are so fun... when you're using them haha. Jumpluff comes to mind. Props to Troggy on Jumpluff though.

Breloom is part of the reason why i love Snorlax. Absorb Spore, (he's a resttalker), switch into Zapdos who resists Superpower or whatever Fighting move, and then Heat Wave. Otherwise, yeah Spore is a hard thing to deal with, Status Absorbers are just awesome. That is why i love Snorlax. He'll take any status i don't want other people to have. That or lead Gliscor can Taunt.
