What a great fucking release date. This movie can definitely be construed as a psychological horror film much like There Will Be Blood was and releasing it right in the middle of horror season is a nice little tip of the hat to the disturbing undertones.

Anderson is starting to take Kubrickian (or is it now Malickian?) stretches between his films. It has been paying off extremely well.

Hoffman has done most of his best work with Paul Thomas Anderson, and a Scientology story is always filled with potential. Should be great.
