This band is one of, like, three decent-or-better ones to randomly friend request me on MySpace in the last four years. I'd say Topshelf is starting to build a hell of a roster but I feel like other bigger labels are going to continue to cherry-pick them. Defeater was picked up by B9 quickly and if this was 2003 I could see Pianos Become the Teeth on Equal Vision already.
I like the song on their myspace. This is probably because I am a FBTMOF fan and I'm pretty sure I could identify like 4 different riffs taken directly from Odd How People Shake...
Not sure how I feel about all of these diy screamo bands getting "signed"
I'd say there are more 'signed' screamo bands than not. Granted, many simply just release an album under a label, but I don't think it really detracts from DIY ethics entirely. Then again, who said screamo had to be DIY anyway?
These are some great dudes and a great band. One of the best locals in our area. I'm stoked for them.
As far as DIY bands getting signed...
I feel like as long as the band doesn't completely stop working hard and doesn't change their music in order to get signed... it's perfectly fine. I don't know why people make such a fuss about bands having labels, mgmt, booking agents, etc. As long as they're still playing the music they are passionate about... why not have a team behind them helping them make a career?

ya man I know what you mean. But these dudes are still doin the DIY thing. Im bookin them a show in Delaware, they still book all their own tours and such
