candy apple grey sounds awesome on vinyl. these guys are one of a handful of seminal bands mired in the bullshit that was the 80s music landscape.

I've always loved Green Day's cover of 'Don't Wanna Know If You Are Lonely,' but never bothered to check this band out. I'm kind of regretting it now, as I'm really digging this.

Been wanting to get into these guys for a while now

Zen Arcade is epic. Hopefully this inspires all of these people talking about how they've been "wanting" to " get into" them to take some action and "get into them."

Unbelievable band. I can't believe that they used to play local shows with the Replacements. They would have been insane!

awesome! Really glad to see some of these "remembers" lately. Really getting into some true classics with stuff like Pavement and now Husker Du.

Yea Zen Arcade was epic, but New Day Rising will always be my favorite Du record, and i know what you mean about Celebrated Summer

Agreed. I'm reading All Over But The Shouting (Oral history of the Replacements) at the minute. The scene in Minneapolis at that time was sooooo good.

At risk of killing my indie cred (if there ever was such a thing) I have to say I've never heard/remembered hearing of this band. And I'm old too, so I'm not sure how I missed out.

But I like what I heard in those vids, so I'm gonna go find what I can of this band and put this high on the list of "Music I Need to Check Out ASAP"
