09:29 PM on 07/13/10 | We found love in a hopeless place Hahahaha, holy shit!
I <3 you Blake | | |

09:29 PM on 07/13/10 | Touche, but Fight Fair is at least beachy music which is what they aim for. |
What makes you call it beachy other than that's what they SORT OF sing about? It's overproduced pop-punk made to sound like radio pop. I have no problem with people trying to play 60s-inspired beach pop in 2010, but this completely fails at that as well.

09:33 PM on 07/13/10 | This band is the definition of cheese.

It just sounds beachy and normally when you sing about the beach and beachy things that's what the music sounds like.
It's not perfect and has it's flaws but what other band is at least trying at beachy music?
and a 9%?
This is better than Nevershoutnever and Brokencyde, both which got higher than a 9% on this site.

10:08 PM on 07/13/10 | I am formless, I am shapeless. i can't believe this is a record made by real people. |
hahahahaha. this. | | |
|
10:16 PM on 07/13/10 | Yikes!
Well I'm not going to dispute that there's nothing entirely original or thought provoking about this record, however I think it's far more deserving than 9%. I've seen far worse musicians be reviewed by you, Blake, and have scored much higher. After all, these guys would probably be the first to tell you everything that you pointed out in your review so they're certainly not ignorant in that aspect.
That said, I respect the fact that you were rather(and possibly unfairly)hyper-critical of this record. Of course, I respectfully disagree.

10:29 PM on 07/13/10 | This is hilarious.
Books that read US. Blake, everything you write always makes me realize you're even more ridiculous than I had previously thought.
|
10:55 PM on 07/13/10 | I agree, Blake, we do need talking dogs. You can be happy we've got one: MARMADUKE! That rascally dog is a real hoot.
|
11:33 PM on 07/13/10 | Pushin' th' little daisies So many winning lines from the review, but I don't have to quote any and say "well done". Everyone who takes a look at this will read the whole thing. It's hilarious.
No idea if it's true, but I am not gonna find out.

11:35 PM on 07/13/10 | Did nobody realize the most brilliant part of this entire review?
"Public toilets that allow you to hover over the seat". Hey Blake, maybe you should file for a patent on this design. Then, you can hire scientists to make this a reality... You'd get rich really quickly.
Oh, sorry. I forgot this was supposed to be about Fight Fair. Umm... let's be fair here guys (no pun intended, ass holes). This doesn't deserve a 9%. They probably put in some effort and definitely money to work on this... it should get a 10%.
|
12:54 AM on 07/14/10 | i will not spill my guts out Blake, I love you for this.
|
04:31 AM on 07/14/10 |
Completely agree with this. Plus, the review's content almost makes the rating a compliment
|
04:31 AM on 07/14/10 | In Fight Fair's defense, didn't Brokenyde get around this sort of score? That's sortof not fair (no pun intended)
I think even if you hate hate hate hated this album, it would deserve a 60% or abiveee

I have to sort of agree with you here. The record is trash to me, but giving it a nine does feel a bit unfair. But I'm probably the most generous reviewer out there, so my opinion counts for shit.

His comic strip is hilarious. The movie is one of the biggest abominations to come to the cinema in a long time.
