It's easier for a smaller band like that to not use Bamboozle as their NYC/NJ date. There are 90 mile/90 day (or something similar area/time wise) clauses in most bigger band's contracts saying that bands can't play within that set area/time to make sure ticket sales aren't affected. |
Eh, the out-clause rule doesn't usually bother me as most bands find a way around it or announce a show later in the year. It's only when they use Bamboozle as part of a tour that it gets annoying. Sort of like what happened with the Thrice/Circa Survive tour in '08. |

I know the reasoning, but it's a shame when Bamboozle swallows a great tour (like Thrice, as Phil mentioned). Thrice was awesome at 2008 Bamboozle, but if you wanted to see them proper on
The Alchemy Index and you lived in NYC, you were shit out of luck. So I wish they weren't there at Bamboozle.
