A Voice Like Rhetoric:
Beautifully impressive post-hardcore math rock. These guys are incredible at what they do, great mixture of harmony and technical musicianship.
Amia Venera Landscape: Italian progressive post-hardcore in the vein of Underoath and Misery Signals. Not the most unique style, but I think they have a interesting fresh take on it.
Bars of Gold:
Featuring the vocalist of the highly influential post-hardcore band Bear Vs. Shark, Bars of Gold is like a keyboard happy indie band with that post-hardcore tinge. Its definitely unique.
Caravels: Indie hardcore with screamo and post-rock elements, these guys take a bunch of weird elements and put them together in beautiful amazing intense ways.
The Chemist Vs. The Computer (RIP):
Unsigned, just released amazing second EP, Hydrosufoolooween.
Really old video, but trust me, all their stuff is great.
CityCop: Amazing aggressive acoustic screamo indie I can't even describe awesome stuff. Only could find one video, which is really long and terrible quality, but check out the album on bandcamp, it is really really good.
Diego's Hot Balloon Ride (RIP): These guys pretty much single-handedly got me into this kind of music, they broke up four years ago but still have some of the most unique music I have ever heard, I just love it all so much. The Cool Kids, Jetpack Gangwar, Never Go In Against Sicilian, and especially Gasoline Detroit are some of my favorite songs to this day, and their eight or so songs are up for free download on their last fm. Enjoy it.
I am the Ocean: Weird progressive rock experimental hardcore type stuff. Kind of reminds me of Fear Before sometimes. Also their album is free on facebook, so go get that. Its free.
I Would Set Myself On Fire For You: Pretty much impossible to describe, I could experimental orchestralcore? Their album is crazy, and amazing, and its best to just go listen to it.
The Normandy: Formerly known as Ago Decorus, a Flordia band with mostly clean vocals, some pretty sweet guitar work, and a solid indie progressive sound.
Prettyoungraves:
Unsigned, going into the studio very soon or maybe right now. Just got a new guitarist and Dan Easton from Chemist Vs the Computer (above) as a vocalist. New stuff should be in a different direction, but as good as their old stuff.
You know what this is a cool idea. I think I may steal your idea, and do it for upcoming music around my area!
Haha.
Man, it'd be so much easier if you just tell me bands in your area and I'll put them in my post. Then they both look organized and less focused on one area.
I really wish the Trophy Scars' vocals weren't... the way they were. I could totally see myself getting into that EP if they hadn't chosen that type of singing style.

It took me a while to get used, but I like it a lot more than the stuff on Bad Luck.
