Here are some upcoming bands with a distinct sound in the generally post-hardcore genre, check them out.

A Lot Like Birds:
Guys are doing some amazing stuff in the post-hardcore, post-rock genre, and have a free full length up on their facebook.

[Facebook]

A Voice Like Rhetoric:
Beautifully impressive post-hardcore math rock. These guys are incredible at what they do, great mixture of harmony and technical musicianship.

[Facebook]

Algernon Cadwallader:
Screamy yelly indie math punk. Its as good and/or better than it sounds.

[Facebook]

Amia Venera Landscape:
Italian progressive post-hardcore in the vein of Underoath and Misery Signals. Not the most unique style, but I think they have a interesting fresh take on it.

[Facebook]

Artifex Pereo:
Just recorded their first full-length with Kris Crummet, its incredible. And they just got an equally sick new vocalist.

[Facebook]

As We Draw:
Progressive French experiment post-rock hardcore type stuff. Still got a free album out I believe too.

[Facebook]

Bars of Gold:
Featuring the vocalist of the highly influential post-hardcore band Bear Vs. Shark, Bars of Gold is like a keyboard happy indie band with that post-hardcore tinge. Its definitely unique.

[Facebook]

Birds in Row:
Pretty much straight hardcore with a lot of progressive elements. Same label as As We Draw, same free album. Its good stuff.

[Facebook]

Brother Bear:
Ambient hardcore band from California with a free EP.

[Facebook]
[Bandcamp]

Really old video, but trust me, all their stuff is great.

[Facebook]

Circus Circus (RIP):
Just check it out, its pretty fast and heavy and still good at a technical level. Broken up now.

[Myspace]

CityCop:
Amazing aggressive acoustic screamo indie I can't even describe awesome stuff. Only could find one video, which is really long and terrible quality, but check out the album on bandcamp, it is really really good.

[Facebook]
[Bandcamp]

Devil Sold His Soul:
British screamed post-rock type stuff.

[Facebook]

Diego's Hot Balloon Ride (RIP):
These guys pretty much single-handedly got me into this kind of music, they broke up four years ago but still have some of the most unique music I have ever heard, I just love it all so much. The Cool Kids, Jetpack Gangwar, Never Go In Against Sicilian, and especially Gasoline Detroit are some of my favorite songs to this day, and their eight or so songs are up for free download on their last fm. Enjoy it.

[Last FM with all their tracks for free]

At The Skylines - The Amazing Atom (ft Kellin Quinn of Sleeping With Sirens)

Gets better in the middle, trust me. It's like ambient guitarwork over post hardcore + soul vocals. It's amazing.

EDIT: This actually might not be as unique as some of the bands you posted, but it's still good music.

No offense, but that was like opposite of the stuff I was talking about.

You know what this is a cool idea. I think I may steal your idea, and do it for upcoming music around my area!

Haha.

Man, it'd be so much easier if you just tell me bands in your area and I'll put them in my post. Then they both look organized and less focused on one area.

Not bad, would love to hear it in better quality, but wouldn't really classify them as post-hardcore.

I really wish the Trophy Scars' vocals weren't... the way they were. I could totally see myself getting into that EP if they hadn't chosen that type of singing style.

It took me a while to get used, but I like it a lot more than the stuff on Bad Luck.

Yeah, aside from vox, everything else is great (love the jazz and blues mixed in with post-hardcore).

I agree with you, but at least he's got a unique vocal style. You'd probably like their older screamier stuff a lot more.
