I expected too much from American Dad. I don't know why I thought it would compare to the genius that is Family Guy. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you, it won't last very long.

I personally thought American Dad was terrible, and to hear that it's causing Arrested Development to change times makes me sad.

You guys have only seen 1 episode of American Dad how the hell do you know how bad it is? I thought the family guy sucked from the first episode, same the Aressted Development.

I watched the Family Guy's pilot after the super bowl and I must've laughed for about a good 10 mins at the kool-aid guy alone. And that was only one episode.

Its still too early to say whether American Dad will be good or bad, although Seth's track record should command the benefit of a doubt, with only one episode having been shown.

As for Arrested Development its good, but out of place on prime-time television. It’s the curse of originality. Original shows don't command strong ratings or a large fan base, which is a death sentence for any sitcom. So placing the blame on American Dad is just childish and naive. Fox is a business just like every other station and if a show can't compete it won't last, and "boycotting" the show that takes its place won't bring it back.

Fox has canceled two far superior shows in the past three years due to poor rating, and although this is sad.....we must at least commend Fox for their willingness to give quirky and small market shows the light of day in the hopes of improving the horror that is modern day television.....

I will definatly continue to watch American Dad to make my final judgement, but I thought the sneak peek was just bad. My main gripe with the episode was the characters. They seem to fill in the Family Guy positions and fail with stereotypical and boring characters that just come out weak. Again, this is only from a first glance of the show, but I do need to give it some more time to grow. Afterall, the first season of a series is usually a little rough.

Personally I thought American Dad was pretty good. I can easily see being just as funny as Family Guy as it develops.

some of the characters just seem really lame. the alien isn't runny whatsoever and the goldfish just sucks.
