I have liked all of their other releases I have heard but this one was really boring to me. Nothing stuck out and made me want to listen again. Of course I will, but I don't see my opinion changing too much.

That's too bad. It took me quite a few listens to The Crane Wife to get into them.
I wouldn't rate this album quite as high as 89% but I still love it.

This album is awesome, but I just can't get into it as much as I could get into Hazards of Love.

Picaresque or The Crane Wife. The Crane Wife was the first I ever heard by them.

Picaresque or Her Majesty IMO. I could never get into Crane Wife. I never listened to their last one because Crane Wife left such a bad taste in my mouth.

Great review, great album. I don't know what the rest of the people are listening to making the user score so much lower.

Solid from start to finish. their past albums were more complicated and ambitious than this, and the simplicity of this album is part of why I like it so much. It relies on the great songwriting (lyrics and melodies) instead of on trying to wow us with crazy weird arrangements. Its alot more enjoyable this way.

I love the Decemberists, their last album is my least favorite but this makes up. My favorite track of this album is "This is Why We Fight".
