Ex-members of Job For A Cowboy and Force Of Change show that the OC isn’t all about beautiful teenagers and safe indie pop.
How is it?
I’ve been judging metal/hardcore albums lately by how badass I feel when someone pulls up to me at a stoplight and I’m blasting them through my car stereo. For What It’s Worth get’s a 9, meaning it’s evil sounding enough to make the soccer moms push the up button on their power windows and slugs in the chest sufficiently for the metal kids to keep them down. Even better, instead of pit-bulling about death, girls, and anger, STYG bullfrogs about non-violent resistance, self-image, and gender equality. Who doesn't love a good posi-core band?
March is Women’s History Month: Poor Man’s Poor Sport (two heads are better than one)
Fun in the animal kingdom: Throwdown, Comeback Kid, Job For A Cowboy
I really did not think that this album was that good. Definitely not as good as you rated it. Maybe it's because i'm not a fan of the singing.I was also expecting a much harder album. Eh oh well.
I hate the punk beat Elliot Sellers uses in every other song.
i dig this album. the guys growl is really good. I, however, am an old man and rarely blast the tunes in my car. Maybe I will drive on campus today and do it real big (in my ford explorer with a big "I love Billy Joel" bumpersticker, and my polo shirt on"
Isn't For What It's Worth their old album? It wasn't released in 2007...
They dropped off this city is burning records, and signed on with some big label. Haha I remember this band being a small band and then they got hugeeeeeeeeeeee
