Who:

Avery Parkway (also written Avery Pkwy) is the solo project of San Diego based musician Joel Piper who writes and records everything in his home studio.

How is it?

You Have The Road Map is a collection of beautifully crafted tracks that are either acoustic guitar or piano driven and have deeply personal lyrics that focus on life and religion. While the songs are superbly recorded and are quite enjoyable to listen to, most do not break away from your standard singer-songwriter fare and clean melodies and smooth vocals can only carry an album so far. You Have The Road Map is a good, solid album that those who lean towards the Chris Carrabba end of the singer-songwriter spectrum will go crazy for.
