I heard today was the day Kurt passed away 17 years ago. Can’t believe it’s been that long. So grateful for his contribution and inspiration. Not sure I’d be doing this if it weren’t for him. He gave us all permission to create no matter what our skill set and reminded me that dreams are possible. Thanks for that. This made me recall a short piece of film I shot when I heard they were making a film celebrating his life. I made it to explore the character and explore creative possibilities. I never sent it to the studio or to anyone but thought I’d share it now…

I'm curious to how this thread will develop. I'm not watching the video, just want to see the comments.

I'd actually dig a film on Kurt with Leto in the lead - miles better than Robert Pattinson haha.
But honestly, I think there are more musicians from this era who's stories would transfer to film better than Kurt - namely John Frusciante, Courtney Love, Nick Cave, and Tori Amos.

He did a good job I think. He has the look to be Kurt in a film, as does Ewan McGregor and Ryan Gosling. And while we're at it...Charlie Sheen, too..

I never liked Leto's music. I don't like Nirvana too much either.

Sounded good. However, he didnt need to dress up as Kurt.

This was an unsettling visual...watching Leto trying to BE Kurt Cobain. Not for me.
