I'm surprised there wasn't any reference to Won't Be Pathetic Forever in here. I think the lines,

"I fucking love this town
I fucking love this town
I fucking hate this town
I fucking hate this town"

sum up essentially a huge chunk of the interview. One question though: will we also be hearing references to Pathetic Forever?

That interview, combined with the song, just made me way more excited for hearing all of the new record. And finding out what Soupy's referring to about possibly getting arrested with promotion.

"I think I covered it a bit in the last question but we’ve always identified with pigeons. The pigeon is an animal that no one wants around. Most people would be much happier if the pigeon was eradicated, but the pigeon doesn’t give a fuck. Not only does it live where it’s not wanted, but it flourishes. A year or year and a half ago, we felt like the pigeon of this scene. Nobody wanted to give us a break but instead of being stomped out, we decided we were going to take over in that climate and we won’t stop until we have."

Interesting sound to the new track, but an even better interview. Just incredible. Few bands are able to convey stories on such a relatable level, and I can't wait to see what the next chapter is.

My only issue is moving on from The Upsides so soon.

this is a really great interview and it just further proves why everyone loves soupy's lyrics and can relate to their music. he's a regular dude who has the same problems a lot of other people have, and it sounds like he's found a way to take a stand against it and that is completely inspiring.

Everything this man says is genius. So excited for the new album!

After recently relocating to a place where I knew no one I am ready for a record that deals with that lost sense of "home". This record can't come soon enough
