Why do some bands release deluxe versions of albums way after their debut?
Fans will already have the album, are they supposed to buy it twice?

I get that some will have a deep connection to the album, and will get this anyway, but this feels wrong to me.

I agree, I don't like it when bands do this (neither do I when Hollywood does, releasing a special edition 6 months after the original) BUT, this album was so good I'll be buying this without a doubt! I still spin 'Suburbs' almost every day!! And two new tracks is extremely exciting, I just wonder why the actual documentary isn't included, I'd spend 25 bucks for a combo of the two!

geez, I didn't even notice it was only the "making of". Hope you find the deluxe version to be cool anyway. A great album, for sure.

this just goes to show what joining a large label does to artists. deluxe, extra, bonus, more, exclusive. but hang on, ITS THE SAME THING.

they're gonna do this and then take 3 more years to put out an actual follow up, its just stupid

I'm with you on this, I wish bands would release deluxe editions when the album comes out only.

I have this album but I've still never listened to it...guess I should get on that.

It's a documentary that documents the "Making of" The Suburbs.

Yeah, I wasn't sure what people were talking about, because I didn't think they were expecting to see a making of a "making of the album" documentary, but apprarently they were.
