The US has a representative government. I'm not trying to say Serj is or isn't actually an asshole, but there's really not a distinction between the people and the government, unless the people want there to be. |
I don't agree with you , Yes, the citizens of the United States do have the right to vote, and that's where it ends ... The candidates are a bunch of pussies and the propagandistic system that democracy in almost every country is based on is very delusive, people can't be blamed for their vote, even if they will regret their vote in the future ... How were the Armenians supposed to know that the promise was just a political strategy ? How are you supposed to know that the candidate you will vote for isn't just a better actor than Marlon Brando ?
Representative government doesn't exactly work the way you would want it to work, cause 90% of politicians are liars ... And also, how do people know that the votes were not manipulated ?
We here also can choose our leaders, but how can you choose the right man/woman when everybody's dishonest ? If you get deceived by a politician, should it automatically mean that you are responsible for his/her actions ?
