Lol same stuff in every review, I don't even know what I've rated the last 4 or so albums I've reviewed.

Tom seriously you can't defend it...him giving out 90's to every album he reviews. It's so bad at this point I laugh everytime I click on one of these and see the same, predictable score.

Looking through my reviews, looks like I gave 90s to Sims, Theophilus London, Eisley, Thursday, Mansions, and this. 5 albums and 1 EP that are all fantastic and will all be in my top 15 of the year. The fact it bothers you so much that I like music is hilarious. I've been making a conscious effort to only focus on music I like this year because I have limited time. I could roll off 10 really negative reviews in a heartbeat, but that's a waste of everyone's time. If I think these albums deserve this type of praise it's because I believe in this music and think these are the type of artists that peoole need to hear. Sorry that bothers you so much.

So you're basically admitting you're a complete fanboy of the bands you review. My point is proven. You're incapable of reviewing an album and putting a score below 90 next to it.
A fanboy? Never said that. I promote good music. I've given less than stellar grades to some of my favorite artists such Max Bemis, Chris Conley, Craig Owens, and Alkaline Trio. I'm pals with All Time Low and I think their new album is awful. TBS is one of my favorite bands ever and I've ripped on their last two albums. If I think a band's new album is good/great, I'm gonna promote the shit out of it, how is that a bad thing?

Ugh you should really not use that word haha

Promote/hype/talk about, whatever. If the music is good, i am going to encourage people to listen to it/buy it/support it. I'm gonna back the bands that deserve it.

It doesn't bug me, but its an observation I've made. If I had the time on my hands, id do statistical analysis to prove that Drew's reviews are statistically significantly higher than the rest of the staff.

You should probably use that time to make your own website better

I'm just the target of everyone, aren't I?
Seems like you can't state your opinion without backlash anymore.
Hey, at least people know my name now. There's a positive to everything.
What? I wasn't criticizing anything, just stating that your own site should be your primary focus

Out of respectful curiosity, do you receive albums you don't like and choose not to review them, focusing more on the ones that strike you and you love? I can see where people get the idea you love everything based off of how many reviews come in at over 90% from you, but I have to believe there's ones you don't like and just don't waste time writing about. I'd be interested in reading something like that though because I think it'd be an opportunity to show your strengths as a writer.

I have no problem writing a negative review, there are a handful of albums I could name that I have disliked this year and reviewed the shit out of them if it wasn't for other staffers liking them. If this was a real job and not just a hobby, then it would be more balanced, but why would I want to waste my free time to shit on something I don't like?
