Haha, I was. I love the bottom picture. Everyone you see aside from me is a zombie, and just the biggest smile on my face while doing it just cracks me up and just goes to show how much fun it is.

So, how does this work? The zombies can chase the runners? Are they allowed to touch the runners at all?

there are fast zombies that can run and chase and there are stumbler zombies that i assume are there more for setting the scene, as they aren't allowed to run at all. and they aren't allowed to touch you at all, only try to pull a flag from your belt.

Runners have three removable flags around their waist and zombies go for them. No physical contact, but every once in a while you might bump into one while trying to juke them out. Nothing more than a gentle push in a crowded city.

At mine the runners were all assholes. The stumblers were my favorite. There was a lot of running in the woods and they were just slowly lingering behind trees, crawling on the gground, walking towards you on the path, all while grunting 'brainssss' and moaning.

yeah i was thinking about it and i'm actually kind of glad i'm a stumbler. i just had this whole realization that i'll be running a 5k, why would i then want to go chase other people who are running a 5k? hah. gives more opportunity to act like a zombie actually rather than just a tired running person, i'm assuming. plus crawlers are just more badass, amirite?

that's why i said do it as a zombie, duh. it's only $25 then (and a $5 registration fee), and you get to race for free, free parking, free camping, blah blah blah. but i feel you. the never-knowing-what's-going-to-happen-when aspect of the military has definitely been my least favourite part of being married to/living with a marine. also tricare.

oh i swear i talked about it in your spam to 100k or whatever the fuck thread that got dwepped. only got married for the benefits (BHA for him, insurance and in-state tuition for me, etc). i didn't take his last name, no joint bank accounts or any other such shit. still refer to him just as my boyfriend. he's getting out in the next month or so and we're getting divorced even though we're still dating, haha. but the insurance is the biggest joke and i ended up not even taking classes here, so i basically got nothing out of it, hooray.
