I do think he made the right choice. I guess I don't know just how big Alexisonfire is in Canada, but I just see him going much further with City and Colour.
I could definitely understand that. Having one full-time band/project is hard enough, but two? That's got to catch up sooner rather than later, and it looks like it's run its course. I honestly believe that he's grown out of the hardcore scene with age. It happens. Either way, I love his honesty here.
I always thought Alexisonfire were bigger than City & Colour.
Seeing as how he has 2 platinum albums in canada, and one working it's way to that, he probably makes more money off of city and color than he did with alexisonfire, and now that he dosen't have to do two bands he can tour more.
Lol isn't Alexisonfire bigger than City and Colour?
It really depends on the group of people. Several times I have had to explain that Dallas Green (City and Colour) is in Alexisonfire. To me, it's just him technically as the artist, instead of a band, so I am sure he gets more of the money when just himself.
