Some pretty easy heroes are Skeleton King and Lich. Those are the go-to recommendations for most people. Dwarven Sniper is another common recommendation, but I'd kinda recommend waiting before playing him because, regardless of his range, hes probably the squishiest hero that has been ported so far.

Skeleton king is really easy because he only has 1 active, and its a pretty nice stun, and his ult brings him back to life after dying at full hp/mana. If you can farm, he's a good choice.

I also really think Tidehunter is a good hero to play with at start. You have an awesome slow to initiate with, and he's pretty tanky and item independent (blink dagger aside). Plus, his ult is just awesome. The range/stun on it are ridiculous and really help team fights.

Lich is really easy because his nuke+ult are great, and he has practically unlimited mana while laning from sacrifice. His Ult is probably my favorite in Dota, because if placed right multi-kills are easy.

Playdota.com has a ton of guides if you ever need help learning.

Sigh a longshot here, since this thread is about 2 months old. Anyone have a key? Been a dota player since 2005 and played hon when it came out. I guess it doesnt hurt to try right?

Miss the original feel of Dota. Would greatly appreciate it. :)

I play all the time. The game is getting so polished, it completely destroys HoN and LoL.
