C'mon, Dedication 2 is amazing. Sportscenter is still mind blowing. Better mixtape than No Ceilings, for sure.

Only albums I have liked by Lil Wayne have been mixtapes. He should just stick to them. Da Drought 3 and No Ceilings were probably his best work.

I think Wayne is realizing that his barely rap mostly talking slow delivery had to stop. He's trying to quicken it but he's not the sharpest tool. He should have had more tracks with Drake, but I guess he's trying to stand on his own--again. Ultimately I think people are learning that they only liked him becasue of the hype he had. He's not a good rapper(talker) or lyricist but he's trying to stay relevant. I feel bad for him but he has Drake and Nicki, if I were him I would pull a Dre and stay behind the scenes.

On that note, an incredibly mediocre/at times bad album.

I can never seem to like a Lil Wayne album. I've enjoyed a bunch of his guest appearances on other artist's tracks over the years, but nothing from his solo offerings stays in my stereo more than a couple days.

I'll say this: "MegaMan" is a cool track.

But then it's also the worst track on the album because I'm disappointed that it didn't sample the NES game.

I'm surprised you didn't even mention the song "It's Good" Probably the best non-single on the album and he completely destroys Jay-Z.

In H.A.M. Jay-Z says "I'm like really half a billi n**** really you got baby money, keep it real with n*****, n***** aint got my lady money."

Wayne comes back with the following

"Talkin ’bout baby money? I got your baby money,
Kidnap your b**** get that ‘how much you love your lady’ money."

And that's just the tip of the iceberg on it really.

As for the rest of the album.... This is why you don't drop your best songs as singles 8 months before the release date. Good review.
