It sounds like it might be popular, but its boring to me.

Martin sounds as good as ever, Rihanna sounds fantastic (especially on the chorus; SO good), their vocals really complement each other surprisingly well. The beat/arrangement is great (very delicate & staccato at points, I like it), it sounds like a logical step to make after Viva. Nothing bad about this one. If Coldplay can naturally work in a Rihanna guest spot, they can do anything. Stoked for the album.

I love all their albums (except X/Y), but this album is shaping up to be terrible.

No matter the genre, anytime I hear a song and they burst into some sort of "whoooOOooaa whoooooAoooA" type shit, I immediately turn it off. Does anyone else find this to be extremely lazy in terms of songwriting?

Im just going to keep believing Coldplay doesnt exist anymore.

Honestly don't like this at all. But the other two songs I've heard from this album have been great, so hopes are still up.

my thoughts exactly. I'll give the new album a chance because it's Coldplay, but I don't know how to feel about what I just heard.

As others have said, this just isn't Coldplay. I like my Coldplay driven by keys, with clean guitars, and NO synth. (See A Rush of Blood To The Head).

It's not that these new songs are bad (except Paradise which was just pathetic), but it's just not as good as what I think they should be, or what I expect them to be, producing.

Super disappointed by the Rihanna guest spot.
