Gonna listen to the song at the end of the day, just dropped by to say I love that book, it's probably my favorite book and I'm glad people are naming bands after John's books now. Crazy! But I always expected Paper Towns to be the first choice among regular AP bands.

Uh... Eye Alaska is the only band out of all of those that I've even heard of. Are the rest relatively unknown, or am I an idiot?

I certainly understand where you are coming from, but if it make it any better, our name actually means something, we didn't just use the word alaska because it sounds cool, haha. If you haven't read Looking For Alaska by John Green, you definitely should because it's a great book.

Not heard of any of them personally. At least this band is named after a book. It's not as if they sat down and thought of names with 'Alaska' in it (presumably). There are far more frequent words used in band names that could have been picked up on.
