Outlaw Nation - 10.21.11

Interviewed by
Outlaw Nation - 10.21.11The following is a mini interview of generic questions that we posed to all bands that wanted to answer:

1. How did you get your band name?
It came from a place of rebellion and marshall law! We live for Armageddon lol!!

2. How did this band get started?
The hot and seedy streets of New Orleans, LA bred this band, along with the muggy streets of Kingston, JA and slick talking avenues of London, England. Not to mention wanting to be like Bradley Nowell (Sublime) and Tim Armstrong (Rancid).

3. What bands are you influenced by?
Sublime, Rancid, English Beat, The Clash, Fishbone, Red Hot Chili Peppers.

4. If you could tour with any bands, past or present, who would they be and why?
Sublime, Rancid, English Beat, The Clash, Fishbone, Red Hot Chili Peppers.

5. Best food to eat on tour?

6. Why should people listen to your band?
We're AMAZING!! lol! Nah, we really like to give our all on stage and try to on CD as well. We like to say we're an arena band in a box! Meaning we give up the same energy that a band in a arena does, but in a small club. Just killing it all night!

7. If you could be any athlete, which athlete would you switch places with?
WILT CHAMBERLIN lol! Just kidding. Wow man, I think Kelly Slater (the sickest surfer EVER!!)

8. If you won a Grammy, who would you thank?
Oh wow no question without a doubt the fans. They made us and they ultimately will be the demise of us! SO WE LOVE YOU!!

9. If you could change something about the music industry, what would it be?
That the fans would have more say as to what music gets the most marketing and promotions. There's so much pop fluff out here and the kids are not listening to it. The industry makes you think they like it. But I am with the kids every night at concerts and they tell me that the stuff you hear on the radio is NOT what they listen to. So if that's not what they're listening to WHO THE HELL IS?!

10. Memorable tour experience?
Going on a tour with several of my heroes at one time. Angelo Moore, Norwood Fisher (Fishbone) and Dave Wakeling (English Beat) Spring Skaward Tour, and HR Human Rights (Lead Singer of BAD BRAINS).

11. What does AP.net mean to you?
The honesty and openness of promoting real music and the fun with which you guys do it is influential to us and I am sure other bands as well.

12. What is your favorite song to play?
"Glow" from The Last Dragon movie.

13. What is your vacation spot of choice?

14. What music reminds you of your childhood?
Bad Brains, Prince, any song from a John Hughes movie!

15. If you could have any super power, what would it be? Why?
Awww come on, XRAY vision! Ughmm I think you know why?

16. Any pre-show superstitions or rituals?
Jam out to "At the Movies" by Bad Brains and "Cookie Jar" by Gym Class Heroes.

17. What is something that most fans don't know about you?
I have a 4th degree black belt in Karate.

18. What is your assessment of the current state of radio? Do you think it's a place where your band could flourish?
Yeah if they wanted to actually play GOOD music, we would definitely flourish.

19. What do you like to do in your spare time?
Search for Bigfoot. And I am serious about that. I am a huge Bigfoot nerd!!

20. What kind of hidden talents do you have?
I am an amazing cook!! Try me anytime!!
No one has commented on this interview.
You can be the first.
