Regrettably, I missed Polar Bear Club, Fireworks, Such Gold, Balance and Composure, and Make Do and Mend this fall. That's a really solid lineup, and I shit the bed.. but the sets were so, so, so short that I couldn't really justify it.

Before that, who have they toured with? I don't recall seeing them ever headline the NYC-area?
That tour was awesome, so worth it. Also saw them a little over a year ago with Defeater, All Teeth, and Living With Lions.

This has me at a loss for words.
That's (also) outrageous! But really, can those bands just disappear from Rise already?

I've seen Defeater, and they're even better live than they are on their records.

All Teeth and Living With Lions are equally legit?
All Teeth is awesome. I'd say RIYL Defeater, The Carrier, Carpathian. LWL is cool, I guess. Don't really like pop-punk, honestly. They're definitely better than most in their style, though.

Band is good. Just don't get how they fit.
Are there secret Wave rules?

No, but it's like, one of these things are not like the others...
I kind of said, "hm, they're different from all the rest," and carried on listening and not caring about it. You almost sound offended that they're in there. Yeesh.

i mean i know post-hardcore used to draw a lot of influence from punk and stuff but today's definition of post-hardcore is different from the definition of post-hardcore 20 years ago. genres evolve. or you were you unaware of that?
Why do people even still use genres? Should bands really be trying to write a certain way so they can stay in a specific genre? I feel like most of my favorite bands don't give a shit about what they're "supposed" to sound like, they just write whatever comes to them. And so in that sense, all genres will technically blend together and music will just be music. Exactly how it's supposed to be.

Do me a favor.. I was on the phone with a client and typed out a ton of grammatical errors in that awesome joke. Can you edit your quote to reflect my corrections? Hahaha I can't believe I'm asking but it's driving me batshit.
Dream on, dreamer. No one's gonna fix your crummy grammar.

Back to Rise though, at this velocity, they'll have every band even remotely related to the genre signed by 2015.

I feel like their plan of attack lately is What Would No Sleep Do?

Went completely over my head. You're too good at this game. You're a legend.
