I'm not saying it's bad, but I never understood bands writing two or three times the amount of songs that will end up being on the album. It seems like you'd get about 1/4 through a song and realize it sucks, then trash it...not finish it and discard it at the very end. |
I was going to say something similar to this. I don't see the point in writing all those songs only to throw away more than half of them. Most albums in this scene are about 10-13 songs, and their's probably will be no different.
I feel like it would make more sense to work on 15 songs, and then bring it down to the best 11-12. Ehh, I'm excited for the album, that's just my view. Glad someone else has the same feelings though :)
