Calico System - 09.15.03Wark: How did you guys get hooked up with Eulogy Records?

Shawn: Collin from this day forward gave our ep to john at eulogy. the label showed interest and we went from there. we wanted a label that really showed interest in a non corporate way, everyone there is so nice, we knew this is the label we needed to go with.

Wark: How long did it take you to write your record?

Shawn: the songs were written over a period of time say 6 months. we were not writing an album, we just wrote new songs as they came along then recorded em.

Wark:What's the concept behind "The Duplicated Memory" ?

Shawn: having hope in getting to one day see the things you lost again.

Wark: What is the Calico System's message?

Shawn: Basically just determination and the drive to move forward. everyone goes through losses and bad times, we are just about making the best out of them and moving on.

Wark: What bands have you toured with, and who would you like to tour with in the future?

Shawn: we have toured w/ evergreen terrace, this day forward, salt the earth, the judas cradle, kid gorgeus, spitalfield, armsbendback and albert react. we would really like to tour w/ hopesfall. that band is amazing.

Wark: What have you grown up listening to, and what bands have inspired your music?

Shawn: we are still young so my favorite band of all time is nirvana, and i love nofx. i grew up on alot of punk rock. alot of the band hum youwill hear prolly in our music. huge inspiration.

Wark: Favorite record that came out this year?

Shawn: the haste record is incredible.

Wark: Favorite movie?

Shawn: requiem for a dream

Wark:Favorite curse word?

Shawn: shit.
