I see what I can think of here in Michigan:

Grand Rapids
The Intersection: 1200 capacity. Great sound and nice floor area with bar seats towards the back. Also a front lounge for smaller acts

The Orbit Room: 1600 capacity. The biggest non areana venue in West Michigan. Amazing sound but feels like a sauna. balcony adds to capacity.

Deltaplex: 6,200+ Lots of national acts

Van Andel Arena: 13,000+ Where the majority of big national acts play.

Lansing:
The Loft: 400. Small intimate venue

MT. Pleasant:
Soaring Eagle Casino concert hall: 3,155 Occasional national acts.

Battle Creek:
Kellogg Arena: ???? capacity. Smaller arena. Good number of national acts

Clarkston:
DTE Energy Music Theater: 15,000+ Outdoor amphitheater with great sound. Lots of national acts

Pontiac:
Crofoot ballroom: 1,100 Great sound with a smaller floor and balcony. 3 venues here

Pikeroom: 250 Smaller acts play here. 2nd story of crofoot venue

Eagle Theater: 600 midsize smaller venue connected directly to the crofoot

Phoenix Center: 6000 Smaller amphitheater

Detroit:
Royal Oak Music Theater: 1700. Larger theater music venue with great sound and sight lines

Saint Andrew's Hall: 800+ Smaller theater

The Fillmore: 2,200 Larger indoor venue right next to the fox theater across from ford field/comerica park

Fox Theater: 5,000 one of the most famous venues in Detroit right next to the fillmore and across from ford field/comerica park

(there's more like the arenas in Detroit but I'm out of time right now)

Chop Suey- Never been here, but every now and then they pick up touring acts

King Cat Theater- Big Venue, Lots of seating, major tours. (Reel Big Fish, Summer Slaughter)

El Corazon- Touring acts, varying sizes, (Set Your Goals, Whitechapel, AP Tour, Smaller Punk shows

Studio Seven- Heavy Bands, Punk Shows. Basically an all metal venue though. (Summer Slaughter, The Casualties, Dr. Acula)

Showbox Sodo/At the Market- Bigger Touring Bands, Everything from Electronic to Indie. (A Day To Remember, Rusko, Sleigh Bells)

WaMu Theatre- Bands not big enough to sell arenas but more than 1000 people. (Paramore, Bassnectar, Rise Against)

Key Arena- National radio rlayed touring acts. (Katy Perry, System of a Down, KISS)

Spokane-

The A Club- Small Intimate venue, national touring acts and local showcases. (Every Time I Die, Emmure)

The Knitting Factory- Same concept as most Knitting Factories, touring acts, comedy, all genres (Less Than Jake, Whitechapel, A Day to Remember)

Spokane Arena- Smaller than Key Arena, only used really if the band is not going to Seattle. (Motley Crue, KISS)

Tri Cities- Kennewick/Richland/Pasco

Rays Golden Lion- Small touring acts rarely, local showcases. (Veil of Maya, Dying Fetus, Molotov Solution)

Rock Reactor- 21+ venue, older touring acts, occasional local shows or touring acts. (Sir Mix a Lot, Reverend Horton Heat)

Toyota Arena- Radio Rock bands, shows get sent here from Spokane's Knitting Factory. (Slipknot, Theory of a Deadman, Shinedown)
