Curious why labels don't do these things themselves before they hit amazon/iTunes. I would think they'd want to control that first listen. Drop the clips on youtube and collect the ad revenue + link to their own pre-orders.
You're right...and it's moves like these that keep labels from cashing in. Most people in the 'music industry' are handed advances, and the people at the labels work on coming up with unique marketing campaigns. Amazon and iTunes really don't care about the music. They are focused on the sales. First chances they get to put up clips they do. Labels...especially big ones, always seem late to the game even though it's there own product.
