The main stage for this summer's Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival will feature Slipknot, Slayer and a major special guest which will be announced on March 5th. The fourth slot on the main stage will feature a rotation of The Devil Wears Prada, As I Lay Dying and Asking Alexandria

In 2012 the tour has upgraded the production on the festival stage and this year the Jagermeister Stage will feature a special headline set by Anthrax supported by a rotation of The Devil Wears Prada, A I Lay Dying and Asking Alexandria, along with Whitechapel, High On Fire and the Jagermeister opener. Please note that bands may vary per market.

Mayhem will kick off the 26 date trek across the U.S. beginning on June 30th at the San Manuel Amphitheater in San Bernardino, California and ticket sales kick off on April 6th with the GET OFF YOUR ASS pre-sale ticket promotion.

Slipknot’s, Clown states “Slipknot is headlining this summer’s Mayhem festival and it’s going to be unlike anything you’ve ever felt, sensed, or seen. You miss this, you miss everything. Everyone seems to think that there’s a chance we’re gonna go away. This is the farthest thing from the truth. Stay sic and don’t ever judge us.”

The 5th annual Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival will also feature ROCKSTAR Metal Mulisha Jump Team, on select dates.

TDWP have gone far enough into their 'serious image' to fit in on this. I expect Asking Alexandria to get booed by the metal nerds every day.

My sixteen year old self just said, "Holy shit!".

I don't really care for any of these bands, but this is hitting Boise on the 4th of July. Seeing Slipknot, Slayer, and Anthrax on Independence Day sounds alright. I might go depending on how much tickets are.

the special guest is Motorhead. Killswitch doesn't even have a singer right now

The only band I'd honestly be interested in seeing is The Devil Wears Prada.

Why would it be Killswitch ? They just lost Howard and the fact it delays them to make the new record when they gotta find a new singer.

It's safe to say this tour just took a massive shit on Warped Tour. I think Korn is gonna be the big special announcment.

I agree, plus Killswitch doesn't seem to fit in with this group. it seems the headliners are more thrash and hold school. With the exception of slipknot which is more modern. But it seems they wanna lean more on veterans this time

Because Mayhem likes putting the same main stage acts every year. I personally think it's going to be Killswitch with another singer that they'll announce at metal and hardcore fest. Motorhead would be fucking ill though!
