The February edition of Too Long; Do Read finds us catching up with Silverstein before the band's release of Short Songs on February 7th via Hopeless Records. The record contains 11 original songs and 11 covers of punk bands that influence Silverstein, with none of the tracks topping 90 seconds. Head here to read my feature on the band, titled "Keeping Punk Rock Elite: How Looking Back Is Helping Silverstein Move Forward." In the article, you can find two exclusive song streams - one of album opener "Sick As Your Secrets" and one of a cover of Gob's "236 E. Broadway." Thoughts welcome.
I really liked silverstein until they we're very douchey in the concert in rio de janeiro last year. word is they we're "scared" (aka. drunk/high/whatever) to the point of crying, puking and calling for their mamas... not very punk rock.
I thought that was a really cool interview. I don't listen to Silverstein anymore, but I love some of the songs they're choosing to cover, so maybe I'll have a listen to that album when its released.

Gonna listen to the songs when I get home but I'm actually not liking the production on these new songs (Brookfield, SOS, etc.) at all. same with Rescue. I kind of wish they'd go back to Cameron Webb.
